A Growing Programme with a Long-Term Vision
Britannia Classical Institute is a growing educational programme with an ambitious long-term vision. Our aim is to provide a complete British Catholic classical education from the primary years through to the Classical Liberal Arts Diploma. At the same time, we are committed to developing the curriculum carefully, thoughtfully, and to the highest academic standards.
At present, the programme is open to pupils between the ages of 5 and 10. The curriculum for these years has been developed to the point where families can begin studying with confidence, while new lessons, resources, and courses continue to be added as the Institute grows.
Rather than attempting to produce an entire curriculum all at once, we have chosen to build it steadily. Every lesson, assignment, quiz, and resource is written with the same commitment to academic excellence and fidelity to the Catholic classical tradition. We believe it is better to expand carefully while maintaining high standards than to rush development simply to cover more year groups.
As a result, Britannia Classical Institute is continually growing. New lessons are added regularly, existing courses are expanded, and additional subjects and year groups are developed over time. Every addition strengthens the programme and increases the value it offers to families.
Our long-term vision is to provide a seamless educational pathway from the earliest years of primary education through adolescence, culminating in the Classical Liberal Arts Diploma. Families who begin with younger children can therefore look forward to a programme that continues to grow alongside them.
We also recognise that many families have older children who would benefit from a British Catholic classical education. If there is significant demand for additional year groups, the development of courses for older pupils will naturally become a priority. We are committed to listening to the needs of homeschooling families and directing our efforts where they will have the greatest impact.
Because the curriculum is delivered through our online learning platform, new lessons and courses become available to subscribers as they are completed. Families are therefore joining a living programme that is continually expanding and improving, rather than a curriculum that remains static.
Britannia Classical Institute is more than a collection of lessons—it is a long-term educational project. Our vision is to build one of the finest British Catholic classical homeschool programmes available, combining the enduring wisdom of classical education with the convenience of modern technology.
We invite families to become part of that journey. By joining today, you gain access to a curriculum that is already ready to begin using, while helping to support the continued development of a programme that is being built to serve Catholic homeschooling families for generations to come.
