Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access my courses?

Once you have enrolled and your subscription is active, you will receive an email within 24–48 hours containing access to your online learning portal. Once you receive your login details, you can begin studying immediately.

Are the courses live or self-paced?

All of our courses are completely self-paced, allowing you to study whenever it suits you. The learning portal is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you can learn at your own pace and schedule.

Can I study from anywhere?

Yes. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access your courses from anywhere in the world.

Is there a free demo or trial?

No. If you're unsure whether Britannia Classical Institute is right for you, please contact the Director. We'd be happy to discuss the curriculum, the learning platform, and help you decide whether it's a good fit for your family.

Alternatively, you can simply enrol for one month at £9.99. If you decide it's not for you, just cancel your subscription. At worst, you've spent £9.99 to explore the platform and see whether it meets your needs.

Do I need to purchase textbooks?

No. Purchasing books is not required. Any essential course materials are provided within the course. However, you are welcome to purchase recommended books if you wish to build your own personal library.

Do you have videos and lectures?

No. Our courses are intentionally designed without video lectures or PowerPoint presentations. We believe the best education is achieved through reading, thinking, discussion, and engaging directly with books, rather than passive screen time.

Our online learning platform provides structured lessons, guided reading, quizzes, assignments, and progress tracking.

Do you do a family membership?

Simply email us to request cancellation, and we will process your request within 24–48 hours. Once your cancellation has been processed, no further recurring payments will be taken.

Can I restart my subscription later?

Absolutely. You are welcome to rejoin at any time by purchasing a new subscription.

Please note that if a subscription has been cancelled, we reserve the right to delete the user account and all associated course records and progress.

If you have a particular circumstance—for example, you would like to pause your studies for six months—please contact the Director. We are happy to discuss individual situations whenever possible.

Do you offer refunds?

No. All payments are non-refundable. Once a payment has been processed, refunds, credits, or partial refunds cannot be issued.

Will my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Unless you cancel your subscription, it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period to ensure uninterrupted access to your courses.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No. There are no contracts or minimum-term commitments. You are free to cancel your subscription whenever you choose.

How can I contact Britannia Classical Institute?

If you have any questions regarding your membership, courses, or subscription, please contact us by email at classicalbritannia@outlook.com. We aim to respond as quickly as possible and will be happy to assist you.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Simply click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset your password. If you continue to experience difficulties, contact us by email and we'll be happy to help.

Can I share my account?

No. Memberships are intended for individual use only. Sharing login credentials may result in the suspension or termination of your account.

Do I really need one account for each student? Can't we just use one account for everyone?

We strongly recommend that each student has their own individual account.

Having separate accounts allows:

  • Individual progress tracking

  • Accurate academic records

  • Personalised course completion

  • Easier management for families and the Institute

For families with three or more enrolled students, additional children can be added free of charge, making it both practical and cost-effective for each learner to have their own account.

I don't know which course to start with.

No problem! Get in touch with us at britanniaclassical@outlook.com, and we can discuss your family's situation, educational goals, and individual needs. The Director will be happy to help guide you toward the most suitable place to begin.
